SPRS at Rocky Mountain Train show
The SPRS was present and active at a table display at the 2026 Rocky Mountain Train Show. We presented the message of our preservation efforts at Como and invited families to come visit and witness the creation of an operating historical narrow gauge railroad heritage site.
Saturday Siegfried Barthel and Mike Sharp opened up and staffed the Como presentation table

Mike Antolin, Doug Junda and Rob Van Winkle (left); Rob Van Winkle and Jim Scoville (Center); and Tom Lawson hosting Alex Hois (right) all helped with the Como “gospel”!
The Rocky Mountain Train Show hosts and sponsors clinic on a wide range of subjects organized by James Mackay of which Dan Silbaugh was invited to make a presentation. Dan assembled a very well done informational power point presentation on the Como Efforts including a very detailed history of Locomotive #4 “Kate” and the ongoing restoration of it by Como Volunteers he presented in the Northwestern room both Saturday & Sunday.
