The Como Project

With your help, we are on our way to restoring the entire Como Railroad complex including the roundhouse, depot, hotel and water tower built in the 19th Century by the Denver South Park & Pacific. This is in addition to the historic locomotive and rolling stock we’ve acquired as well. The South Park Rail Society has big plans for the complex at Como. Click below to learn more.

Klondike Kate #4 locomotive under steam at the Como Roundhouse in South Park Colorado.

Klondike Kate #4

Our lovingly restored steam locomotive, Klondike Kate #4, was built in 1912 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and operated in the Yukon Territory of Canada before being saved from the scrapper’s torch. With your donations to keep her running, she is bringing steam back to the Como Railroad Project for the first time in a century.
