Como Campus Workday - May 17th

We had a great team of both new and returning faces for our first workday for the 2025 season!

Jim Scoville, Kevin Crook, Mark Williams, Bob Peterson, Siegfried Barthel, Jacoby Van Winkle & Ron Blume work the final joiner on the Maintenance Car Shed stub track.

Paul Greguoli, Mark Williams, Scott Bonner & Road Master Alex Hois did a masterful job releveling and aligning the stub entrance to the Maintenance Car Shed.

Eureka!  The Maintenance Car Shed stub track was completed and the maiden run was made by Jon Dierksheide & Jonah Gambone, while Jacoby Van Winkle & Alex Hois made sure they stopped!

Meanwhile back in the roundhouse… Dave Winner continued work on the mill in the machine shop (Stall 1). Jim McBee & Tim Clay (sporting his new hip) continued part work for Kate’s connecting rods. Our custom bolt manufacturer’s Bob and Ryan McDowell dropped by.

The Myers team: Takoda, Aaron &April, continued restoration on the tractor.  NEWS FLASH: The tractor engine fired up and “purred” near the end of the day!

Catherine Woodham & Jonah Gambone with some of the latest unearthed treasures found around campus.

Leslie Cole fueled the team with a tasty lunch!

Also participating but not pictured were Bruce Ranniger, Steve Schweighofer, Jim Mackay, Larry Plume, Bob Shoppe, Steve Burt & Norm Acker.

Thank you to all those who came out for our first day - we look forward to lots o new faces this year!
