Open House - September 27th
What a fantastic way to end our 2025 summer volunteer work season! Thank you to all of our volunteers who made this an outstanding and productive season!
Back-to-back open houses need a lot of hard-working volunteers and our team rose to the task, providing visitors with tours, handcart rides, and merchandise options! Throw in the chaos of many tasks that still needed to be completed the energy and feel of the entire campus was “thriving”.
Track Master Alex Hois, Jacoby Van Winkle, Bob Patterson & Noah Beauchamp make minor repairs to the Main.
Steve Thompson touched up 8311, while Lauren Revis-Hebert stopped by after guiding a 1st time volunteer out to the track crew.
Bob Schoppe, Jim Vanore & Kevin McCloskey winterized the Depot.
Special thanks to Jon Dierksheide (with 2 visitors). Jon spearheaded the handcart at the last two open houses bringing in close to $500 in donations!
Near the end of the day, the Plymouth was fired up to start its life as a working part of the heritage site.

As always, a huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who were there but not pictured. Your hard work and dedication throughout the 2025 season has meant the world to us!
